When D told me that it was going to snow over the weekend, I imagined some flurries.
Well, it snowed. And snowed. And snowed. All day and into the night.
It doesn’t look like much, but with the leaves still on the trees, branches kept breaking all through the night.
This is just a glimpse of all the downed trees. I saw some smaller trees literally split in half and quarters. Two large branches barely missed out cars. Downed power lines everywhere.
Due to blocked roads and power outages, the schools have been closed for two days.
Still, it was Halloween and plenty of trick or treaters braving the snow and branch covered roadways.
Peanut’s first time trick or treating. She got the hang of it a lot faster than Soso did at this age.
Soso and friends in front of a snow fort that some neighborhood kids built.
Hopefully there’s school tomorrow! We’ve already used up all our snow days.
