Thank You #17 Tradition and Accessibility

TY #17

You are all wondering, what do Korean pears have to do with tradition and accessibility?

Eating fruit after dinner is a typical Korean custom.  Watch any Korean drama and you’ll inevitably see the mom paring apples or pears and serving them to her family.  As my mom had done for me, I do for my family.

As memories of my mom fade with each passing month, I’m particularly happy to see that she is still with me in intangible ways.

As for accessibility, without it, I wouldn’t be enjoying this Korean pear today.  There was a time when  Korean goods were much harder to come by.
